Note:If maximum overcoating times are exceeded, sand using
280-320 grade (grit) wet or dry paper. Perfection Varnish for Teak must
be sanded with 320-400 grade paper (and dust removed) prior to
overcoating with Schooner. |
|
Preparation |
PREVIOUSLY VARNISHED WOOD:
In Good Condition: Clean with Yacht Line Super Cleaner. Sand
smooth with 280-320 grade paper. Remove sanding dust with thinners.
In Poor Condition: Remove all previous coatings.
BARE WOOD: Sand smooth with 80-180 grade paper and then 280 grade
paper. Remove sanding dust by brushing, dusting and wiping. If wiping
with solvent then allow to dry completely before applying the first
coat.
Priming bare wood:: Thin the first coat by 20%. |
|
|
|
Method |
For best results when applying by roller, smooth off with a pad or
brush. Performance will be further enhanced if top coated with 2 coats
of Perfection Varnish. If using as a primer on flexible constructions,
apply one coat only under Original. Avoid using direct from the can. |
