Intertox is a clear, penetrating wood preservative for combating rot and fungal staining. One- and two-pack paints may be applied over Intertox for longer life.

Note:Most International paints, varnishes and Interstain are compatible with Intertox and can be applied using the same overcoating times quoted for self overcoating.
APPLICATION AND USE
Preparation BARE WOOD: Sand smooth with 80-180 grade paper and then 280 grade paper. Remove sanding dust by brushing, dusting and wiping. If wiping with solvent then allow to dry completely before applying the first coat.

 

 
Method Apply liberally by brush paying particular attention to joints, screwholes and the end grain.

Some Important Points Product temperature should be minimum 5°C/40°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Ambient temperature should be minimum 5°C/40°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Substrate temperature should be minimum 5°C/40°F and maximum 35°C/95°F.

 

 
Compatibility/Substrates Only use on bare wood. Not compatible with Teak, Iroko and other oily wood types. International's paints, varnishes and Interstain are compatible with Intertox. Do not use in conjunction with UCP. When used on immersed surfaces, Intertox must be overcoated with a suitable International paint.

TRANSPORTATION,STORAGE AND SAFETY INFORMATION
Storage GENERAL INFORMATION:
Exposure to air and extremes of temperature should be avoided. For the full shelf life of Intertox to be realised ensure that between use the container is firmly closed and the temperature is between 5°C/40°F and 35°C/95°F. Keep out of direct sunlight.
TRANSPORTATION:
Intertox should be kept in securely closed containers during transport and storage.
 

 
 
Safety GENERAL: Contains biocides. Read the label safety section for Health and Safety Information, also available from our Technical Help Line.
DISPOSAL: Do not discard tins or pour paint into water courses, use the facilities provided. It is best to allow paints to harden before disposal.
Remainders of Intertox cannot be disposed of through the municipal waste route or dumped without permit. Disposal of remainders must be arranged for in consultation with the authorities.
