PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
UCP is the ideal bare wood primer for use before painting or varnishing. It can be used above and below water.
* Suited to both High Performance and Conventional varnishes.
* Bonds to the wood for excellent adhesion
The fast drying formulation is tougher and more durable than conventional primers.

Note:If maximum overcoating time has been exceeded, sand using 80-180 grade (grit) paper. All international varnishes are compatible with UCP and can be applied using the overcoating time observed for Perfection varnish.
APPLICATION AND USE
Preparation BARE WOOD: Sand smooth with 80-180 and then 280 grade paper. Clean surface by brushing, dusting or wiping. If wiping with solvent allow to dry completely before applying first coat.

 

 
Method Contains Isocyanates which may be harmful to lungs, read the health and safety data section before use. Avoid a 'bitty' finish by applying only on clean dry timber. Do not exceed recommended film thickness or bubbling may occur.

Ventilation and Humidity Control The minimum humidity is 35%, drier conditions than this will retard curing.

 

 
Some Important Points DO NOT SPRAY. Do not use in conjunction with Intertox. Do not use below 5°C. Ambient temperature should be minimum 5°C/40°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Substrate temperature should be minimum 5°C/40°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Product temperature should be minimum 5°C/40°F and maximum 35°C/95°F.

 

 
Compatibility/Substrates Can be overcoated with all varnishes in International range. Not suited to oily timbers such as Teak and Iroko. On oily timbers such as Teak use Perfection for Teak or thinned varnish instead of UCP.

TRANSPORTATION,STORAGE AND SAFETY INFORMATION
Storage GENERAL INFORMATION:
Exposure to air and extremes of temperature should be avoided. For the full shelf life of UCP to be realised ensure that between use the container is firmly closed and the temperature is between 5°C/40°F and 35°C/95°F. Keep out of direct sunlight.
TRANSPORTATION:
UCP should be kept in securely closed containers during transport and storage.
 

 
 
Safety GENERAL: Contains isocyanates which may be harmful to the respiratory tract. Read the label safety section for Health and Safety Information, also available from our Technical Help Line.
DISPOSAL: Do not discard tins or pour paint into water courses, use the facilities provided. It is best to allow paints to harden before disposal.
Remainders of UCP cannot be disposed of through the municipal waste route or dumped without permit. Disposal of remainders must be arranged for in consultation with the authorities.
